Help with Dahlia Mignon Mixed

A little while ago I sowed my Dahlia Mignon mixed seeds that came free with GW in Feb; they're growing on nicely in the greenhouse, in approx 4" pots and starting to fill those pots. I will plant some out in the garden next month but I want to keep a few in pots.

Can somebody help me understand what would be the minimum pot size for these, or how many to a large pot?  After searching online I'm seeing guidance that 12 inch pots are suitable for one dahlia, but the advice seems to generally relate to established tubers.

Would the same advice apply equally to newly sown plants, or could I squeeze 2-3 into a 12" pot?  Also, should I expect them to flower in the first year?

Gradually repot them until they’re bigger then put one to a pot, it will make a tuber for storing over winter.
    They will flower this year,
