Aloe Vera dying?

Hi All,
We have 2 fairly large aloe plants. In the last 2 weeks they have started to go red on the tip as in the images. One source suggested lack of water, however, it only seems to be getting worse. Another sources has suggested less water, less sun and a larger pot with more grit etc
Any advice?
