*SOS Camelia Bonsai*

Dear Gardeners World

My apologies as I don't know why my photo comes out not aligned nicely.

*SOS Camelia*

This is my bonsai camelia (it's a proper bonsai,  just that it's a mini tree sized one) which usually have green shiny leaves. Very healthy....
Until I changed its soil in March.  I basically used a spade to dig around the sides of the pot and dug out some old soil and replaced with new ericaceous soil.
Now it's progressively looking very frail - leaves are turning yellow and not shiny. No new shoots coming

I bought this around 2015 and it took 2 men to transport to my back garden.

All these years it has been very healthy until my soil- change effort in March 2021 (last month).

I am extremely gutted. Any suggestions gratefully received!

Thank you.

Try feeding with a fertiliser suitable for rhododendrons and camellias  (Miracle grow for acid lovers). Give it plenty of water. Stuff in pots is drying out a lot at the moment.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have just doused it with some fertiliser for Camelia in rainwater.Hope it'll revitalise it.

I did notice it was in this state for a few weeks - back when it was still wet (before it got so sunny - not complaining about the sun of course!).  I am hoping I did not damage the root system. The leaves really do not look very promising at the moment.
