  • I would wonder if it is suitable for container growing in the first place, and your looks particularly small for that size of a tree. It looks absolutely dry to me and it depends in your location if this is due to the freezing temperatures too. Here's the reference from a specialist nursery https://www.hardy-eucalyptus.com/product-page/eucalyptus-pulchera-linearis
Multi purpose compost isn't suitable for planting large plants permanently. You'd need some more beefy medium to provide nutrition and water retention, like a John Innes Formula 2/3 type medium.

  • Thankyou George, got very quick growth in first year, survived 2019 -2020 winter so kept out again 2020-2021, am in east anglia and had some heavy frost.leaves turned from green to brown in the last two weeks,so we reported and watered heavily.
will read up on the reference you gave.
    Thanks again

MPC not suitable for eucalyptus. They grow in the wild in mainly sandy soil.   I would use a 50/50 mix of sieved garden soil and sharp sand, if you absolutely have to have it in a pot.
  • Thanks fidgetbones  will repot today
