Confusing labelling

I recently bought a Super Marmande tomato plant. The label stated that it was a cordon type and to pinch out side shoots. However having just googled the plant, every entry informs that they are bush varieties so need no pinching out. Can any one tell which is correct and even if it is a bush type can I treat it as a cordon?

It’s a semi-determinate and should be grown as a bush.

If you try to grow it as a cordon and it is trying to grow as a bush you’ll lose fruit because it will stop growing upwards
    because of its determinate genes.

  • Many thanks for a prompt reply. I grew bush beefsteak toms last year and because of my mobility problems I found them a problem. I only bought this one as it said it was a cordon.. you would think that the growers would put the correct info on their swanked label. Happy growing.

It’s a shame that this tomato will be difficult for you ... I hope the difficulties  aren’t insurmountable. I’ve grown this tomato in the past and it is very tasty ... a great tomato for salads and cheese and tomato baps as it’s not at all watery.
