I’ve accidentally burnt my lawn!

Hi everyone. I’m very new to gardening and today cut my lawn for the first time this season. I used some ‘After cut all in one’ lawn feed, weed and moss killer. 

Unfortunately when I was sprinkling it on the lawn I dropped some and despite removing as much as I could, within minutes that section had turned black. 

I have thrown a few buckets of water over the area (I’m hoping this hasn’t made it any worse!). 

Can anyone please advise how to fix this? 

This area is in a section of the garden which only gets sun for a couple of hours a day.

    Loads of water then rake out the dead bits and, eventually, re-sow if needed.

    I agree, but if it's looking really bad,  you could sow a seed tray and make a turf  . Cut out the damage and insert.

    On the box I bought it says not to use in dry conditions,  I think people are a bit premature in using these weed killers. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    Thanks for your replies everyone. 

    I will keep an eye on it for now and will bear re-sowing in mind (once I’ve researched it!) 

    In future, can anyone recommend what is best to put down on the lawn after mowing? Or can point me in the direction of general lawn care advice?

    If I remember rightly, those type of weed&feed product say on the instructions to leave 3 days after mowing before you apply it. It's a long time since I've used them though - too easy to get wrong. I think there's a lawn treatment called "aftercut" that you can put on straight away. These days I use just fertilizer (most recently one from B&Q that looks and smells like a smaller version of chicken poo pellets, but I can't see it on their website now) and I dig out or spot-treat any weeds. I'm not overly fussed about a bit of moss.

    I’m dreading opening the blinds in the morning in case it’s all dead! Won’t be using the After Cut again. Thanks

    I wish I’d never used it!! Will look in to a fertilizer only

    I've experienced the same but don't worry. It may look bad now but give it a week or so and you won't notice as it will grow back very quick
