Yellow leaves on Escallonia

Hi guys, just wondering what’s causing the yellowing leaves on my escallonia? I gave it a good watering a week ago so not sure if it’s this or something else? Many thanks

It may just be the frost. Keep an eye on it for little black dots. That's not so good.

Okay so just an update I’ve picked the majority of the yellow leaves off and also took a photo. Could this be leaf spot? ☹️

It could be. I  have forgotten the name but there is a condition in escallonia. Some survive it, dropping a few leaves but recovering, but mine fought for years and then died. Don't panic, wait and see!

My escallonia hedge died of leaf spot over winter (photo below); hope yours doesn’t have it. May be a good idea to remove all leaves with the spots from both the plants and the ground, in any case.

Hi guys, so just an update. I’ve been picking the worst leaves off but still have a lot of yellow leaves. Could this just be the plant dropping it’s older leaves?

Could be. Don't do anything yet!
