Rose ID using its plant passport?

OliyaOliya Posts: 228
About a month ago I bought a rose from my local B&Q. It was heavily reduced because it didn’t have its label. However it had its plant passport on the side. Anyone knows if it’s possible to find out the type of the rose using it? Is there a database of plant passports? I tried googling it but couldn’t find anything.

I suspect the passport no refers to company and date rather than plant id and that you'd need access to a DEFRA database to identify it.

You'll just have to wait and see and hope it's a lovely colour and form.

    1. A - Botanical name.
    2. B - Registration number.
    3. C - Traceability code.
    4. D - Country code of origin.
Not sure you can but if it flowers this year there are some very knowledgeable rose forum members so come back with a photo of the whole plant and a good flower photo.

Thanks for your responses @Obelixx @K67

I was going just to wait but then I got too impatient! At the moment I refer to it as my Surprise rose:) I hope the blossoms will be well worth the wait!
