  • Oh and the pink and blue pots are just garden cress... my 3 year old twins planted them with me this morning, hopefully they’ll eat it as well!

  • And this is 1 of 4 raised beds i have to make use of... I’m taking the flowers out of the other 1 in the pic (we ain’t flowery people) and I have 2 others to dig out... I also have around 120litres of compost to introduce to each bed

    Check your seed packet -some peas get quite tall, so you may need to support them later to keep the pods off the ground and away from slugs and mice. Makes them easier to pick too.
    Some twiggy tree prunings will usually be enough, but one variety I grow can get to 5 foot if it's happy :)
  • @Buttercupdays it’s a dwarf variety so suitable for pots, I wasn’t aware that’s what I bought to be honest. But I planted them as they came this afternoon, filled a bit pot with compost, dropped a few seeds in, watered them in and now the pot is in a semi shaded area of the garden for now... I have a trellis for when it starts getting a little sizey
