Bottle brush tree leaves are reddening and then browning

Hello,

My parents have two bottle brush trees planted in their yard. Both receive the same watering, sun, wind, etc, but one is thriving while the other isn't. The one that seems to be struggling had leaves that are turning red at the tips and edges, then browning and finally dying off. They live in Las Vegas so they water the tree daily for 30 minutes with a drip water system. Doesn't seem like they should be too dry but perhaps that's what is happening?  Can anyone help to diagnose?

It also seems to be affecting one side of the tree more than the other. Which adds to my confusion.

Please help!

Do you know exactly when did the problem start? Which side is affected most (north, east, west, south) and where is that side in the last picture? Have they confirmed that the drip irrigation is working correctly? It can get clogged rarely. Also how much water does the drip provide in 30minutes? That is usually a function of water pressure. The person/company that installed the drip irrigation may know what amount of water gets provided to the plants in 30 minutes.
  • @luis_pr The side that is more affected (the left side in that last photo) faces south.  There is quite a bit of wind here and the sun is obviously very strong since it's the desert at elevation (2,000 ft).  I do not know how much water it gets through the drip, but I can investigate that and confirm the line isn't clogged as well.
