I know we are hearing about possible shortages of wheat, sunflower oil etc due to our favourite Russian but what are the chances of a world Pesto shortage ? My garden, having been neglected by previous owners for the last 20 years or so is literally covered with the little wretches - borders, lawn, the lot. As you say @a1154, digging out such vast swathes is a sure way of driving you insane. Cutting down and laying old carpet can help but unless you want a carpeted garden, it isn't a long term solution. It also encourages the Slow worms to think it's another permanent home - warm, cosy, ideal for breeding etc. Can't win

Definitely not Spanish Bluebells or Snowflakes.
Ordinary wild garlic has wider leaves, see below, mine isn't in flower yet.
