I tolerate fmns for a couple of weeks and then..... Too late to stop seeding. I have been ' tolerating' them for many years. Anyway, if I didn't let them grow, I wouldn't have the joy of pulling them out @Obelixx
I've got lots of garden plans this year all waiting for me to have time:
Finish filling in the old pond. I've got a 5m x 3m x 50mm hole to finish filling then turf/seed. This has turned into a much more expensive job that I had planned
Prepare the area where our new greenhouse will be going and sort a base/footing for it.
Wait for certain plants/shrubs to finish so I can relocate them in the garden making room for my compost bins.
Locate said compost bins and start making the good stuff!
Growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional.
@B3 I'm so with you on this. I've spent weeks now making a concerted effort to appreciate them. Snapped this afternoon. Have pulled them out. They were definitely starting to go brown and the leaves were mildewy. Definitely time.
Will spend a bit of time tonight weeding behind where they were - as I couldn't get past them. I did feel a small amount of guilt as a bee followed me around as I took them to the compost bin but there's honesty and comfrey nearby so the guilt passed quickly.
