Rejuvenating old pots with plants in them

Hi
I have several pots that need to be rejuvenated.  I hear you can spray paint these plants to give them a new lease of life.  Can you paint them while the pot has plants in them?

Thanks

Don't see why not, my planrs get painted when I do the fence.
If you put a bag or a sheet over them all the better.

Yes, like KT says, just put a plastic bag over the plant whilst you are painting the pot. I have in the past used left over indoor emulsion paint on terracotta pots which lasts for a couple of years.
