Is my top soil okay for new turf?

Hi - recently had 18te of screened top soil delivered.  The soil is now down but after a watering many stones have appeared.  Is this going to be okay for laying turf?  Thanks

    If you were going to seed it I would say try and remove the stones, but luckily turf is a bit more forgiving.  I would rake over the surface again and remove the larger stones.  Then you should be good to go

    Thank you.  I will go over it with a rake and sieve.  Also I am going to spread some fertiliser specially for top soil prior to new turf going down to give it a boost.
