Choisya Ternata Sundance

I planted one of these last year but it is looking very poorly (getting paler). I have had others for years that are doing fine. I have just read that they are not particularly fond of alkaline soil (which I have) but as I say, I have never had a problem before. Should I give it a feed or something? t i a

I've had the same with mine. They say it likes full sun but I think it's getting sun bleached so I've moved it and taken a cutting in the event of the shrub not surviving the move. If this doesn't work then I'm giving up on them. I have neutral/slightly acid soil but I have the same problem.

Yours is new so moving it might work.

Ours always gets very pale at this time of year.  It’ll look more healthy after it flowers.  I don’t worry about it, I think they are tougher than they look.

@KeenOnGreen., mine then goes brown on those pale parts and looks horrible, I have to cut them off and so it never flowers. Moving it was its last chance. I've grown them before in a less sunny spot and it flowered OK without this problem. Just hate the sight of it like that.

Ours took a couple of years to establish and I thought it was going to die.  Now it is going strong.

Thanks for replies everyone, I will be patient and see what happens, so no feeding required then?
