Red patches on camellia

My camellia has red patches and generally light green leaves. I’ve given it some Ericaceous feed and it’s potted in ericaceous compost. 
 

It’s near a NW facing wall which gets quite a lot of sun.

it’s flowering but the flowers turn brown quite quickly. It’s only my first year having this plant so I don’t know if that’s normal.

Any advice on what to do?

    Sounds like you have been giving it the best possible treatment. Leaves that bronze-up at this time of year tend to be cold damage, and it has been pretty cold and if as you say you have very strong sunshine on leaves and flowers/buds after freezing nights, it will cause flower buds and also newly opened flowers to go brown.

    If you are growing them in a container, it may be best to tuck them against a wall at night, and then move them to their main position during the day time. Late frost tends to be the issue.
