courgettes- should they be droopy ?

Ive never grown them before- bought a 6 pack from lidl they were getting big so I have repotted them- questions

1) Should they be long and droopy like this ? are they trailers ?

2) I have had them inside- could they go into the unheated GH or should I harden them off first

3) Eventually - should they go into the GH or stay in beds ??

Thanks

Some courgettes grow long 'vines' which spread across the garden ... others are 'bush' types which are more compact.  You've got the first sort.

Keep them inside for the time being.  Mine will stay indoors for another couple of weeks, then they'll go outside during fine days and indoors at night.  I'll only plant them out at the end of May/beginning of June. They're very tender and if the temperatures are too low they sulk and stop growing and take ages to get going again ... or worse, they just rot.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
