Mini plastic greenhouse

My OH has bought me one of those mini plastic greenhouses, probably because he is fed up of all the windowsills being crammed with seedlings.

Before I risk putting my precious seedlings out in it, I'd like to ask anyone who's got one how much protection do these really provide? I  could put it an outside corner of the house which is quite sheltered, though only gets morning sun. Or is a sunnier but more exposed position better?

I have three - had them for many years - I would  not risk seedlings in them - good for hardening off and overwintering plants - but do keep an eye on watering they do tend to dry out very quickly.

Thanks @historyman. It sounds like my OH will have to put up with them on the windowsills a bit longer!
