I agree. It's a young but very healthy and well-shaped specimen and needs time to mature and grow into its habitual form.
Check the mulch - consider also widening that planting circle to reduce competition from the grass. Check that tie is not so tight it's strangling the trunk as it grows and, other than watering in dry spells, leave well alone for at least a year, better 2 or 3. It will sort itself out.

Hi everyone, I just recently bought one of these beautiful trees and I was wondering if it can be grown man n a large pot for it's life time. The reason I ask is that we prepared the hole with the correct soil type but after all the rain we had the soil is like quicksand and not draining. I did use perlite, sharp sand and wood bark to dig in and create some drainage, but that's not worked. So would it be OK to grow in a pot for it's life time.... Only new to gardening and wanted some great advice. Thank you
