I think my Calathea needs help

Beebop164Beebop164 Posts: 40
Had her for about a year, loads of new leaves and blooming for the second time. However the oldest leaves are loosing their colour...I this this might just be age as the new leaves are lovely.

My worry is that the new growth is very horizontal and there are vertical root (like an orchid) starting see first photo.

I think she maybe needs diving or potting on??

Any advice gratefully received. Sorry the photos are rotated 90 degrees

This is a maranta rather than a calathea. Less fussy and likes a bit less water than calatheas. Not one I've grown for a long time though but check a specialist guide and see how your care compares. Winter care is always harder for tropical plants as our houses just don't have the environments that suit them.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
