help me save my grans plant!!

Hello all,
I was gifted this plant (species unknown) and i am afraiditis dying/not sure how to improve its life chances... can you all help? I have cut out a lot of the dead wood but it still looks very sorry for itself. Should i give it a wee feed? Perhaps its been in the pot too long?

Help!

Thanks so much!

I think its a pieris but not familiar with their culivation but do know they like acidic soil,  ericacous compost and not too much sun.
I think some of the leaves look like vine weevil damage so take it out of its pot and check for white c shape larvae with a brown head that will eat the roots.

It also needs a feed with a fertiliser for camellias or rhododendrons, and the frost damage of the new shoots can be trimmed off.

Hi - it is definitely a Pieris - possibly Flaming Silver.

I would water it well, then repot it into a larger pot with fresh ericaceous compost. Keep it in dappled shade if possible, with regular watering. I would then wait until all these terrible frosts have passed before doing any further pruning or feeding. Hopefully, the new red growth you've got will be OK - depending where you are, if there are more frosts forecast, I would wrap it up overnight to protect it. One of mine got frost damage.

    Good luck.
