Black spots on Malabar melastome

Hello! Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this damage to this plant, which I think is a Malabar Melastome? Would feeding it help, or is it beyond help?

I think it may be a viburnum davidii with leaf spot
Some info on this page toward the bottom.

Oh, thank you for the identification! The Picture This app told me it was a Malabar Melastome. Being a total novice, and having only moved into the house 6 months ago, I've inherited a garden full of plants that I have no idea what they are! I'll read up on the leaf spot - thank you!

    Good luck with it Jane
I used to have some of those in my front garden. It rarely got berries but the form and  foliage was beautiful. A really well behaved little shrub. I hope you can nurse it back to its rightful beauty.

Any plants you're not sure of, post a pic and I'm sure we can help

Thank you! I suspect the people here will be more accurate with their identifications than the app on my phone! I will try my best to nurse the Viburnum back to health because, as you say, it's a lovely compact, beautifully shaped shrub. Very attractive.
