Vegetable on a very small plants :O

Hi,

Its my first time growing vegetables in my backyard.

In one section I have planted some 12-16 plants of Okra. Currently they have grown to just 4-6 inches long but I can see the Okra vegetable growing on a couple of plants.

I am not sure whether its normal or not. Shouldn't it grow to some 2-3 feet long before it yields some vegs?
