Buddleia cuttings wilting

Hi.

Have recently taken some buddleia cuttings. About 4-6in long, softwood and angular cut just below a node. Used rooting powder and have kept well watered and drained. Still, they seem to be wilting even after a week. Any ideas why? Thanks in advance.

I think you've maybe left too much leaf surface on and the cutting can't cope with the amount of moisture they will be transpiring.

I suggest you try removing half of the leaves from each cutting and maybe cutting off half of the remaining leaf surface.
