American visitor

Great excitement around one of our local clay pits. Lots of twitchers with huge cameras are visiting the pit to photograph an American pintail duck, never normally seen in this country. It seems to have been blown off course and ended up in the clay pit. I haven't seen it yet, quite difficult to differentiate from local ones. It has a stripe across its beak I think, if you can get close enough to see. I hope it makes its way back home after a rest with us.
