Growing Cut Flowers

Morning all!
I am desperate to grow a cut flower seed mix of some sort so that I have beautiful flowers for the bees but also some I can cut to make my home beautiful. I'm not able to plant in the ground currently but would I be able to use large shallow pots to grow them instead?

Most annuals will grow in pots very happily as will many bulbs. A lot are suitable to use as cut flowers.
  • Where i want to put them doesn't get full sun until about lunch time but then it has it until the sun goes down. Would that be OK or do they need full sun all day?

That should be plenty of sun.

When we had quite a shady garden, I used to start off pots in the sunniest area and then move them onto the terrace, where we wanted them, when they were getting ready to flower. It worked well and our sunniest areas had less sun than where you are describing.
