I'm sure you haven't and you'll soon see tits settling in.
I have an inhabited tit box that I can watch from the lounge and it gives me a great deal of pleasure watching their goings on
Not long ago I tied in my climbing roses using a rough string type of twine. Almost all day long I see the tits hanging off the twine pulling bits from it for their nests.
I've tied a few more bits to the wires to offer them extra nesting material along with the hairs from my dog - sadly I can offer them nothing from the top of my head :)
Fingers crossed here for you too

I put out some of the wool insulation from the frozen dog food that I get delivered, even the jackdaws have been collecting that.
Wish I could put the nest box somewhere that I could see from the house but it's all too cat accessible, so the box has to go on the side wall and I can only see it when I'm in the garden. But it's nice to know when it's being used even if i can't see it.
