Impatient for wild flowers

Am I too impatient? I worked hard last autumn scalping, scarifying and raking a tatty lawn, then sowing wild flower seeds for bees and butterflies, also yellow rattle to weaken existing grass. I can't see anything at all yet except a bit of low growing yarrow that was already there.
East Dorset, new (to me) rather neglected garden.

    There's snow on the hills here this morning so spring will be even later than usual. In a couple of weeks things will be growing like crazy though.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    We tried over many years to get yellow rattle to germinate having followed all the advice. None germinated. Gave up.
    Tried with corncockle and last year managed to get 3 to flower so did collect the seed and will sow them out later.
    Still far too cold for sowing out directly here.
