Hydrangea care

hi  all 
Ive had this hydrangea a year now. Do I leave it how it is or prune off the old flower heads?

    I would wait a while, as we have more cold weather due, and the old flowers protect the new buds. I don't do mine until the end of this month.

    It depends on where you live.  Here in the South West all our old dead flowers have been cut off for weeks and plants are doing really well.

    South West here, I won’t be doing mine till the end of the month. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    I’m in the south here (Dorset) and have a few Hydrangeas dotted about the garden front and back. The one that catches the morning sun droppped all its mop heads by itself and new growth is showing nicely. By common consent though it’s recommended to prune after the last frost so for us that will hopefully be mid April.

    Good advice guys.. It snowed last night in Wakefield so ill definitely wait until May to touch the plant
