Crown imperial fritillaria protection?

Jane ReidJane Reid Posts: 15
I’ve planted crown imperials for the first time, planting them deeply as advised by RHS and they are growing really well. However, the very cold frosty night has left the ones in bud drooping, although they recovered during the day. As more frosty nights are forecast, I wanted to check if I should cover them in fleece or just leave them to the elements?

Thanks Nanny Beach, I’ll risk leaving plants uncovered but watch out for Lilly beetles & slugs.
