Hello. Complete beginner here! We have recently had our garden landscaped. Because we are on a hill we have had a raised grass area. We have left borders for shrubs but are unsure what to plant. We did choose Buxus plants but realised that they were toxic to our puppy. We would like something that is hardy and non toxic to animals, as well as acting as a boundary for our children. If anyone knows of anything suitable we would be very grateful. Many thanks. 😊

It looks quite sunny, so my suggestion would be lavender.

For any shaded sections, sweet box (Sarcococca confusa) has no known toxic effects and would give you a wonderful 'honey' scent for a long period over the winter.
