Taking Forsythia Cuttings

ERICS MUMERICS MUM Posts: 627
I assume it’s possible but should I do it now, with the pieces I cut off after flowering, and how long does it take for them to root ?  Is there anything else specific to them that I need to do ?

thanks.

  • In the past I have just stuck several in a plant pot together and they have just taken. Possibly a few weeks before they 'take'. Don't leave too many leaves on the cutting and take the fresh new growth. A plastic cover helps with the moisture. They seem to be really easy.
