Potato Advice!

in Fruit & veg
Hi, I'm a complete newbie trying to grow some veg this year. I planted some potatoes in bags last month, and have the bags sitting under a garden shelter (cover can be removed) and also in a mini greenhouse. With the freezing snap of weather we're having, is it ok to leave then out where they are, or should I move them inside the shed? No shoots are yet showing.

I'd leave them where they are ... they'll just be starting to form roots and moving bags will shake up the soil and possibly snap the roots and shoots. I find that when frosts aren't severe it's quite possible to protect plants in pots on the terrace by grouping the garden furniture around them, or even moving other plants, hardier ones, around the more tender ones. It breaks up the cold air flow and prevents the frost settling.
Hope that helps
