Black spots on stephanotis leaves

How do I eliminate to black spots? I've tried wiping them. Do I need to remove them all?

    I assume that the plant is indoors?
    The spots can be due to pests such as spider mites or mealy/scale bugs.
    We have one that we have to clean each leaf top and bottom with a clean cloth to remove any potential ones. This is done maybe every few weeks and then we can leave it for some time before the next clean.
    Yes it is time consuming but worth the time to get your plant growing better.

    Hello, I have three small stephanotis plants (7months old now) from cuttings I made in the early spring. I have since had the 3 outdoors in my back yard but just last week I noticed some small dark spots on the leaves, identical to the photo above provided by bertrand-mabel. What is the best treatment for these dark spots on my 3 very young cuttings?
