Make sure you remove all the grubs if you repot plants. When I did the same to my strawbs last year they had to be completely bare root with all soil washed off and even then I was finding grubs tunnelling inside the thicker roots.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Nematodes only work when the soil is warm and they have to be used within a few weeks of buying fresh stock.
Good advice from Wild edges who is certainly an expert on vine weevils.

Same here - I've lost about eight 40cm pots (each with 3 plants) over this winter and found grubs had eaten most of the roots, with some still tunnelling in further and leaving an orange crumbly residue (presumably frass.)  Luckily, my garden soil seems to have enough natural nematodes that susceptible plants (like my many heucheras grown from seed) in the ground have never been affected, so a couple of years ago, I started planting them using garden soil in the pots.  I also planted a bed of strawberries in the ground.  So far, that approach seems to be working.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

The Strawberry plants were beyond saving luckily I'd got several new ones I'd kept from side shoots.
    Thank you everyone
