Looking after a pear tree

This is my first year of owning a pear tree.  It was planted last Autumn and is a concord pear in an upright form, goblet shaped. It has lots of new buds along the stems, but at the end of the lowest one the flowers are just about to break, which made me think with this cold snap here for at least three days ( -1 to -3 predicted) should I fleece the end in flower? Any help appreciated 🙂

We have a Concord and the buds are at a similar stage ... if today’s sunshine brings them on we’ll be fleecing tonight. 🙄

Good to know @Dovefromabove Luckily I decided to do it yesterday ( just in case) and woke to a white over this morning, even the conservatory was only 5° ( which might be bad as now my Pasandra cucumber is wilting a little😲)

Thankfully we didn’t get frost last night.
