Really basic grass question

What is the common fine grass weed that gets longer and longer  and weaves into everything? I thought it was called couch grass but that's the one with the thick white roots apparently.
PS. I have looked on Google and couldn't find it 😊

    Take a stab at creeping bent for no other reason than the name makes me smile as I have relatives with that surname!

    It is bent at its many elbows and it does creep so I'll definitely check it out. @K67 😉
