Dying laurel

I have a prunus lusitannica, a tree about 4m high and 25 years old looking very sick, drooping discoloured leaves all over, can anyone give a diagnosis?!

It’s come to the end of its life.  Time to plant a new one?
    25/30 years is its lot.

Can you post a photo of your shrub? You mention tree, have you pruned this shrub/tree back before?

  • Not sure why they’ve all come up sideways! Poor thing is looking droopy and defoliated, and yes it started as a bush, grew into a small tree that gets a light trim every couple of years. Thanks for responding!
  • I did wonder about their life expectancy, though I’ve read some laurels can live for many decades. We are about to uproot ourselves after 30 years here, so it feels apt somehow!
