Do vine weevil jump?

I've noticed some small black insects on our decking underneath pots and sometimes in pots.  They are approx 1/4 of an inch possibly smaller and jump around like fleas.  From what I've googled they don't sound like vine weevils but I'm not really sure what they are.  Any ideas? thanks

Maybe flea beetles? Vine weevils don't jump though so not them.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Following with interest as there are loads of these little  jumping things every time I move a pot etc in my garden and I’ve no idea what they are-they do look beetly though.
  • @wild edges yes!  I think you're right - shiny jumping things.
