Pot sizes for chillies & peppers

What is the minimum pot size required for chillies and pepper plants. I know bigger is better but running out of room.

    Hi Claire, I'm not sure optimim sizes at all but last year I grew chillis in cut up milk containers on a windowsill and worked fine!

    Different varieties are different size as well. So this year I'm trying "apache" which i think will be smaller than the below ones as apache are recommended for growing on a windowsill

    Oh wow they look fabulous, looks like I will get away with smaller pots than I thought then. Great idea with the milk containers, will get a few of those myself instead of having to buy a load of pots.
