Found in my garden.

Hi,
I've been working on my lawn for the lawn few week. This afternoon, I remove some large boulders and underneath uncovered a brick structure.
This is under where my lawn should be and is a fair bit below my floor level.
Any suggestions what this could be?

    Photos would be useful. I found several block/concrete structures under my back garden last year when turning lawn over to flower beds - fairly sure they were the remains of a garden wall. They were a fair bit below my floor level (house has 2 steps up to the door).

    Ohhh.. I do love a garden mystery.  We've had some wonderful ones on here over the years.
