Location. Location. Location.

I took delivery of an electric heated lighted propagator yesterday. It is big. Do I set it across the sink in the utility room so that natural daylight hits it during the day? Or maybe upstairs underneath a skylight? At present it will only get some side light. Thoughts? It could go out in the garage at the window but it will get direct sunlight in the middle of the day at this time of year. Putting it upstairs means carrying plants and water upstairs. Hmmm?

you can place it anywhere, it has grow lights so no need to rely on natural daylight.
Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.

So just give it a few hours of the lights of an afternoon/evening?

the lights need to be on for at least 12-14 hrs a day. Mine are on a timer from 6am -8pm. My propagator is in the garage.

Can I ask what you use it for?

Propagating seeds and bringing them on after pricking out (the plan) as I don't have a greenhouse. I also have a few Thanksgiving cactus "babies" in there to thicken them up a bit. Early days.
