Climbers/fence covering

Hi, I will be taking out these laurel bushes as the root space has proven to be too small and they aren’t surviving. I want to hide the fence with evergreen of some kind - what would work best to cover the fence and cope with the relatively small planting space for the roots? Anything really - I just prefer looking at plants/bushes/flowers than a fence! Thank you everyone. 0

You just might get an annual climber to grow, nasturiums are tough and easy to grow and can climb if you have something to attach them to.
