Plant identification (multiple)

Hello! I have just been for a walk round the local neighbourhood to try and find some plants that grown well here and I like and could potentially put in our garden! Does anyone know what any of these are.... many thanks 😊

    Whereabouts in France are you?  Magnolia can be hit by late frosts that turn all the flowers brown so need careful siting and some people find the small of flowering ribes (as opposed to edible currants) very unpleasant and they are also desperately dull once flowering finishes.

    I suspect the Magnolia of being M. x loebneri 'Merrill' because of its upright habit and the shape of its flowers--a very nice variety and well worth growing (as is Magnolia stellata). 

    The Chaenomeles looks like a variety called 'Pink Lady'.
