Weather in a week's time

Living in South Buckinghamshire, the weather is generally warmer than most parts of the country. This week's mini heatwave will be replaced with a cold snap next week with 70% chance of snow forecast for Tue/Wed. Oh, the joys of gardening at this time of year.

Even down here we have overnight frosts forecast next week yet we hit 24C yesterday and expect the same or more today.  I'm told that this winter and spring are what things used to be like till global warming started rearing its ugly heatwave and droughty head.

South of France - same here - weather up and down.  Warm this week, chilly breeze and a cold Easter, which isn't unusual as Easter often brings bad weather.  Sign of the times!

The GC's will be rubbing their hands in glee!  They'll be able to sell lots more potted plants in a few weeks, many of them exactly the same and to the same customers who will have bought them over the last couple of days and have already planted them out..  ;)

  • My husband has just told me that the Pitztal Glacier in Austria is recording temperatures of -31 with wind chill at its mid-station. Some of the coldest late season temps for skiing I've heard of in recent times.

Good, if it slows down glacier melt for a while.
