Perennials & Decorative Stone

Hi,

If decorative stone is placed along a border, does this mean that it will stop / suppress the growth of perennials?

    Any particular perennials you have in mind @geth11 ? 
    It depends on which ones they are l think.

    If you put in on when there is growth you will be fine. They will probably be ok anyway but I  suppose it depends how deep the layer is
