if you select the picture in “my photos”, then click “edit” in the top right hand corner. There is then an option to rotate ..... hang on I’ll do a screenshot .....
@Songbird-1, when you click that vertical adjustment symbol you should see a little square appear somewhere at the edge of the photo with an arrow curving around the box. Each click of that produces a 90° turn.

It only seems to have been happening lately. I do more or less the same as other posters but I am using a laptop. Click on photo to save which is then sent to my "finder". Bring it up on finder and click on "tools" to rotate right and save. Then it can be placed on the forum from "choose files".
But why do they appear sideways in the first place? I've never had any of mine appear sideways but I do resize them before posting to make them easier to view for anyone on a slow broadband connection. I tried posting bigger versions up to the 6MB limit but they came out right way round. Anything bigger gets rejected.
I've been using my newish smartphone, a Samsung, to take garden photos as it's quicker than using my proper camera, then uploading and editing on the laptop. I'm aware the phone photos are on the big side, but can't find out how to edit them on the phone - do I have to download a special app to do it?
