Sowing sweet peas

How many seeds would you recommend for each one of these tubes. They are 2.5 inches in diameter and the idea would be to put them directly in the ground once the seedlings are big enough.

    I use toilet rolls for mine and put 3 seeds in each one.

    Thanks for that...do they need thinning later on when they germinate or will they grow on quite happily like that.

    I leave them in and plant the roll out as one at the base of the frame I’m going to send them up.
