Buxus Sempervirens -Repotting?

I have just bought 2 Box cones and need to pot them in the containers I’ve bought.  Should I pot them in Ericaceous compost as I read they like alkaline soil or John Innes No 3? Which one would be best as some say normal compost and some say alkaline. I want to give them the best chance 😬

  • Not ericaceous, that’s for acid lovers. Pot them into a good soil-based compost — John Innes is good. Make sure you add some bits of broken pots or clean pebbles in a layer at the bottom to ensure good drainage. You’ll need to feed and water.

Thank you very much, I got my alkaline and acid mixed up, oops! That would not have given them the best chance 🙄
