A photo or two would be a useful to help us see your problem and offer better advice.
We need to know wind direction in relation to the patio/shed, and see garden as a whole, to work out where planting or other windbreaks might be possible.

  • Which direction do the winds come from?

OK, I can see the terrace but very little of what lies beyond. What is the direction of the wind? We need to see what could be planted to filter the wind through the tunnel. To stop it the tunnel has to be blocked but would doing so impede views?

And in which compass direction were you facing when you took the photo?

  • South East l think , the wind has blown over the swing already 😳
  • Do you mean the wind comes over the hedge and blows the swing over? or from the other direction? As we are not actually in your garden, you'll need to be clearer if we are to understand the problem and suggest answers.

If you were facing South East then North East winds would be coming from the bottom left corner. If the shed is therefore not blocking the wind I don’t think there is much more that you can do. The consolation is that in most of the UK NE winds are not that common and, at this time of the year, are always going to be unpleasantly cold and you’d not want to sit in the garden then anyway. However if you’re on the East coast of Britain I can see there would be more of an issue with winds blowing off the N Sea.

Come the summer months there might be less of a problem. A photo of the view looking directly into the wind would be helpful.
